I'm a social media marketer and community builder based in San Francisco, but originally from Manhattan. And to answer your question, I love both cities for different reasons.

I currently work at Affinity Labs, which is part of Monster Worldwide. At Affinity, I run a social network for professional chefs called Chef's Blade. Over the last year, I've grown the site by almost 10 fold; the site now has 7,000 active users, receives 200,000 pageviews a month, and is the largest social network for professional chefs. I grew the site through a combination of social marketing, strategic partnerships, community management/user engagement, content creation, and SEO.

Before Chef's Blade, I worked at the Center for Cultural Innovation where I developed  an online advocacy and information portal to unite the artistic community of California to advocate for health care reform. The site membership doubled in size during my year managing it.
